Louise Trotter (b. 1968, Sunderland, UK) is an English fashion designer who became Creative Director of Bottega Veneta in January 2025. She has built her career across some of fashion’s most distinct houses: nine years as head designer at Joseph, five years leading Lacoste, and a widely praised tenure reviving Carven before joining Bottega Veneta. Known for her real-life sensibility and a meticulous approach to craftsmanship, Trotter is currently the only female creative director among Kering’s maisons. Her debut collection for Bottega Veneta, presented in Milan in September 2025, drew on the house’s artisanal heritage and signature Intrecciato weave while bringing a fresh new perspective to Bottega Veneta’s founding principles of craft and creativity.
